That's fine. We all have our "thing." But just SAY that. It drives me insane when people work soooo hard trying to diminish her talent or versatility that they just say verifiably false, generic crap like that. I don't get the need to tear one artist down and shit all over their life's work just to try to prove you're "too cool" for them. She has released close to 200 songs and has written or cowritten every single one of them. She can stand on stage with just her guitar or piano and play/sing every one of those songs solo/acoustic in front of 90k screaming people. That takes immense talent and skill and is EXTREMELY respectable and deserving of praise whether it's your cup of tea or not. 🤷

I think Ariana Grande is much less vocally not near to where Taylor Swift is. I don’t like Christmas because my husband left me around the holidays, my life was never the same. The same thing happened to my mother after my stepfather left her. I am in a good relationship but the family i had is no more. No more Christmas trees put up due to traveling. Maybe other people don’t like Christmas music because of similar reasons.

I feel like you would like the live performance of "never say never" 1989 tour

I hear a lot of people these days saying that Supernatural is what got them into Classic Rock, but the second is Greta Van Fleet. This band is not just bringing back music that has kind of died off in the modern music scene but it’s reintroducing it to new and young audiences. My favorite thing is seeing people of all ages, especially children and teenagers listening to bands like Led Zeppelin, and Rush and so many more simply because they read that or saw that it influenced this band. The song, LOVE IT. This is my favorite song that they’ve ever released. Usually I go for the harder stuff but I’m not exaggerating when I say that this song saved my life. I was in a super dark place when I heard this song and the way that is just emphasizes having hope when it seems impossible to do so, it touched something deep in me and it helps that the instrumentals and piano solos just back that up along with Josh’s incredible voice. I definitely encourage the deep dive on these guys, there isn’t one bad song or album. Newest Album is Starcatcher and it’s worth the listen. Favorite recent song is The Archer.

I definitely recommend listening to the studio (Taylor’s Version…also known as ‘TV’) version of Don’t Blame Me and then watch the Live version!🫶 ALSO, Taylor nowadays puts her music vids strictly on her YT page. She is also the only artist I know that consistently releases lyric videos for the songs that don’t have actual videos yet. When she released TTPD, she put up all 30 lyric videos at once…like she queued them. There are also amazing videos of this performance out there! Please look for another one to get the hype!🙏🏻

I am a long time metal fan and also a long time Swiftie, Yes, she does put on an amazing live show! This ERA, The Tortured Poets Department, is my favorite era. She is such a hard worker and her performances are always at the top of her game. Happy that a popular artist today actually sings live and plays guitar and piano. I will be seeing this show again in October and yes, the prices are insane in the United States.

Even better? She addresses her criticisms with grace and humor, for instance the lip synching, opposed to live vocals (which she does for a 2 1/2 hour show). But there's all the glitches she also has to take in stride-like, SWALLOWING A BUG, for crying out loud. Personally her generosity, humor and magnanimity towards her fans, her fellow artists, her crew, basically so many others, it's a life goals. This person? I hope she gets all the beauty and love, as well as the last laugh. She's also a brilliant lyricist and wonderful female role model.

And I think if more people would be willing to hear her out and appreciate what she is doing, her talent, work ethic, influence etc, *despite it ultimately not being their own cup of tea*, I think the fandom could become less rabid and the whole persecution narrative (which Taylor exploits/stokes) could maybe fade away. you mentioned that you were interested in a folk album!!! that would be her eighth album folklore. it’s more folk-pop than true folk i’d say, but it’s definitely got some incredible tracks! i think if you wanted to react to anything from that album the most folky song would be either betty or the last great american dynasty! but i find that most people most enjoy august or the 1!
